Install TPT Purchase Downloader

TPT Purchase Downloader is a Mac app, requiring macOS 10.13 (High Sierra) or newer. This covers downloading it, installing it, and connecting it to your Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) account for the first time.

Download and install

1. Download PurchaseDownloader.dmg from the download page, or from the Gumroad product page after you buy.
2. Open the .dmg file.
3. Drag the Purchase Downloader icon into your Applications folder.
4. Open your Applications folder and double-click Purchase Downloader to launch it.

Connect your TPT account

1. The first time the app launches, you’ll see a Connect screen. Click through it to sign in.
2. This opens a Safari window in the background where you log in with your usual TPT username and password, just like browsing TPT normally.
3. Safari navigates to your Purchases page on TPT, then the window closes on its own.
4. Your purchases show up in the app’s table.

The app doesn’t store your TPT credentials. Login happens entirely inside that Safari session.

Caution

TPT School Access (the separate school-issued login) is not supported. Sign in with a regular TPT account.

Choose where downloads go

Select a folder where you want your TPT purchases saved. You can pre-create a folder for this before you connect, if you’d rather point it at something specific.

The table then lists all your purchases, which you can filter. Click Download next to any product to download it. TPT Purchase Downloader saves each into its own folder named after the product, with the product’s thumbnail set as the folder icon.

Updating

The app includes lifetime updates, but in-app auto-update sometimes doesn’t take effect. If the app seems out of date, the reliable fix is to uninstall it and reinstall the latest .dmg from the download page.
