Can I control the difficulty?
Section titled “Can I control the difficulty?”Yes. Set the difficulty to easy, medium, or hard. Maze Creator also shows statistics like dead ends, junctions, and solution length, so you can gauge how hard the maze really is beyond just the label.
Can I customize the shape of the maze?
Section titled “Can I customize the shape of the maze?”Yes. Use the paint and erase tools to add or remove cells, or apply a shape preset as a starting point and go from there.
Does every maze have a solution?
Section titled “Does every maze have a solution?”Yes. Every generated maze is guaranteed to have a valid path from start to finish. You can show or hide the solution at any time.
Can I use the same maze again?
Section titled “Can I use the same maze again?”Yes. Each maze is generated from a seed number. Save the seed and your settings, and you can regenerate the exact same maze anytime.
Do I need to install anything?
Section titled “Do I need to install anything?”No. Maze Creator runs entirely in your browser. All your mazes are saved locally; nothing is sent to a server.
What are the system requirements?
Section titled “What are the system requirements?”Any modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge) on a desktop or laptop.
Can the maze have only one path, with no dead ends?
Section titled “Can the maze have only one path, with no dead ends?”Turn on Only one solution path. This generates a single-route maze with no branches to get lost in.
Can I make a maze with dead ends, but only one correct route through checkpoints?
Section titled “Can I make a maze with dead ends, but only one correct route through checkpoints?”Yes. Use Rooms. Draw a room over each checkpoint; rooms have a controlled entry and exit, and the solution path is guaranteed to pass through them. This is the setup for checkpoint-style worksheets, where students can still hit dead ends along the way but there’s one guaranteed correct route through the checkpoints. My license key says it’s invalid
Section titled “My license key says it’s invalid”This has happened after a purchase where the license didn’t activate correctly. Email support with your purchase email and the exact error, and it can usually be fixed or reissued quickly.
