Find your license key

Your license key lives in a different place depending on where you bought. Find the channel below and you’ll have your key in a minute or two.

Note

Your license key is not the same as your Order ID. The key is the code you enter to unlock a product; the Order ID just identifies the purchase.

If you bought on Gumroad or bearwoodlabs.com

Purchases from bearwoodlabs.com go through Gumroad, so your key is in two places: your receipt email and your Gumroad library.

1. Open the receipt email Gumroad sent when you bought. The license key is usually shown right in it.
2. If you can’t find the email, go to your Gumroad library and sign in with the email you bought under.
3. Open the product in your library and look for the key there.

If you bought on Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT)

TPT purchases normally do not come with a separate license email. The key travels inside the download itself.

1. Open the file you downloaded from TPT for the product. It’s usually a .zip file. Extract it first if your computer hasn’t done that automatically.
2. Look through the extracted files for one named license.txt. Your key is in there.
3. Deleted the download? Sign in to TPT and re-download it from My Purchases, extract the ZIP again, and open license.txt.

Still can’t find it?

Before emailing, a couple of quick checks that catch most cases:

1. Search your spam and promotions folders for the receipt.
2. Check any other email addresses you might have used to buy, such as a work address, an old personal one, or an alias.

If it’s still missing, contact support with the email address you purchased under and it’ll be looked up for you. Keys are re-sent privately by email, never posted publicly.
