Do I need to install anything?
Section titled “Do I need to install anything?”No. Crack the Code runs entirely in your browser at crackthecode.bearwoodlabs.com. There’s nothing to download or unblock.
Can I use my own images for the code key?
Section titled “Can I use my own images for the code key?”Yes. You can upload images and use them as symbols in the A-Z code key, alongside or instead of numbers and text.
Can I export to PowerPoint?
Section titled “Can I export to PowerPoint?”Yes. PowerPoint export is included, so you can keep editing your worksheet in your normal product-creation workflow. The exported file is a standard .pptx, so it also opens fine in Canva, Google Slides, or LibreOffice.
What does the license unlock?
Section titled “What does the license unlock?”The app works in demo mode without a license. You can build and preview a worksheet for free. A license key unlocks export on that device. See Build your first worksheet for the steps.
How do I load Crack the Code into PowerPoint?
Section titled “How do I load Crack the Code into PowerPoint?”You don’t. It’s not a PowerPoint add-in. Design your worksheet at crackthecode.bearwoodlabs.com, then use the export-to-PowerPoint option if you want to keep customizing it in PowerPoint, Canva, or Google Slides.
Where’s my license key?
Section titled “Where’s my license key?”Licenses bought on Gumroad are in your Gumroad library. See Find your license key if you can’t locate it.
I’m on a new computer. Do I need to buy again?
Section titled “I’m on a new computer. Do I need to buy again?”No. Crack the Code runs in the browser, so just open crackthecode.bearwoodlabs.com on the new computer and enter your existing license key.
How do I add a letter like ñ that isn’t in the standard alphabet?
Section titled “How do I add a letter like ñ that isn’t in the standard alphabet?”Go to Code Key → Advanced and add a custom alphabet that includes it. See Use a letter outside the standard alphabet.
Can I sell worksheets I make with Crack the Code?
Section titled “Can I sell worksheets I make with Crack the Code?”Yes. Worksheets you create can be used in your own classroom resources and in commercial products, including on Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT).
